This week has been a busy week for Clare Morris (Engineering Associate) and our new team member Briegin Bradley (Assistant Project Manager) on Wednesday 11th they visited Athlone, Co. Westmeath for their monthly Progress Meeting.
The Athlone Town Centre Public Realm Enhancement project focuses on prioritising pedestrians in the town centre by implementing pedestrian priority zones and enhanced opportunities for biodiversity, play and dwell along Mardyke Street, Pump Lane, Sean Costello Street and John Boderick Street.
With realigned and paving now completed to Mardyke Street, the next phase includes removing through traffic to Sean Costello Street, increasing biodiversity with new planters, trees, seating, and incidental play for children.
Thanks to our specialist sub-consultants and contract team members! It’s always a pleasure to meet on site!
