As part of our 21/22 support to Live Here Love Here we provided a Community Grant to Creggan Enterprise for use in their Rath Mor Community Garden. Yesterday I visited the site and chatted with Conor who manages the site for the local community. He explained to me the invaluable resource that this garden is and how it acts as a little oasis of calm for the residents in the area and the workers within the Rath Mor centre. The garden has a range of areas including biodiversity garden, native flower beds, reflection areas, and Grow Your Own zones, all of which are widely used by a range on residents and community groups. We are proud to provide some help to them and as we are delivering other projects in this area we will look to support them in the future.
